Man Plus Machine

This weblog is about my experiences with moving from a Linux world to the fascinating realms of Mac OS X. Knowing next to nothing about Macs and the operating system, I still was intrigued by the shiny machines and their compelling user interfaces.

I grew tired of Linux. Tired of updating, solving dependencies, fiddling with proprietary or home grown drivers, rendering my fancy hardware partly working at best. I wanted to move to the next step in computer evolution. I had to grow up!

Getting older often means getting new responsibilities, and with new responsibilities comes sacrifice. I can no longer spend hours and days tinkering with the inner workings of my operating system like I used to. I have come to a point where I need a machine that works out-of-the-box and needs as little maintenance as possible. I hope to have found that. Only the story of A Man and his Machine will show.
